2nd Shift Equipment Maintenance- Newton

We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced machinery and plant maintenance person, to work closely with our Facility and Maintenance Supervisor on 1st shift during our start up phase and will transition to the 2nd shift as we expand.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to; preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, trouble shooting, repair and preventative maintenance of lithographic printing machinery; die cutting, folder/gluers, conveyors, compressed air systems and general plant equipment and facility maintenance.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Have a stable work background with a proven track record of working safely
  • Electrical/mechanical/electronic vocational school graduate with a minimum of 4 years experience or 8 or more years of maintenance experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and trouble shooting ability in mechanical, electrical and electronics.
  • Good working knowledge of PLC and PLC controlled equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Experienced in basic welding as well as mechanical repairs such as gearboxes, electric motor replacements, conveyor belt repairs, pneumatic valve and cylinder repairs, sprocket chain drives, VFD drives and other equipment (note- this list is not all inclusive).
  • Willingness to work in an industrial environment with the pressures commonly associated with production plants, such as; minimizing machinery downtime, providing rapid diagnoses and repair of machine down situations, ability to self-develop resources to correct problems.
  • Good teamwork attitude and ability to work well within an industrial environment are essential.
  • Ability to work supervised or unsupervised
  • Willingness to learn and receive direction and training.
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • High School education or GED
  • Candidates must also be able and willing overtime.
  • Must also be able to do heavy lifting and stand for extended periods of time
